Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2014 is back - following a resounding success in 2013, garnering over 53,000 attendees. The continuing rise in popularity of Japanese Popular Culture locally, AFA is back to Indonesia for the 3rd time in 2014, bringing a slice of Japanese Pop culture direct from Tokyo to Jakarta.

Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2014 (AFAID 2014) will continue to establish itself as Indonesia’s top Anime and Japanese Popular Culture event in the nation, is scheduled on 15, 16 and 17 of August 2014 in Plenary Hall, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.

Anime and Japanese Popular Culture fans will enjoy an electrifying line-up of anisong (anime songs) stars direct from Japan. They can come face-to-face with Japan's top talent and latest offerings, complete with premium original merchandise, movie screenings, cosplay-related activities, and maid and butler café. The experience will be akin to being in Japan’s famous Akihabara district.
AFAID 2014 will focus on popular content and the latest trends based on the interest and preferences of the Indonesian audience. It is a satellite event of Anime Festival Asia, Southeast Asia’s biggest and most anticipated showcase of the latest Japanese popular culture, anime content and stars, happening in December 2014, in Singapore.

In the TV anime “Guilty Crown”, EGOIST is the fictional group created to perform the theme song as well as the insert songs, with heroine Inori Yuzuriha as the vocalist. Upon the end of the series, EGOIST continues to perform actively. EGOIST is produced by the man central to the well-known group in the Vocaloid world, ryo of supercell. From over 2000 applicants in the vocalist auditions, the songstress, chelly was chosen. The visuals are created by supercell member, popular illustrator redjuice.

In September 2012, their 1st album, “Extra terrestrial Biological Entities”, not only generated great interest within Japan, but also across Asia. The album topped Amazon China’s music rankings for 3 weeks consecutively. It also reached No. 1 on the monthly rankings on JD.com. In November 2013, the album received an unprecedented gold certification in China.

In the same month, at Asia’s largest anime event, ANIME FESTIVAL ASIA 2013 held in Singapore, they performed a concert using the latest cutting-edge 3DCG technology. The character projected on screen is controlled in real-time by the artiste’s body movements, through employment of real-time CG composition system called “LiveAR”, motion capture system “MVN” among others. The world’s FIRST virtual live created a huge topic of discussion.

Her long-awaited full album “BLAU” was released on January 30th, 2013, and it reached at 4th spot in Oricon weekly album hit chart in its first appearance.

She is greatly supported by foreign county’s audiences, her Facebook page got over 290K Likes over the world. Her album “BLAU” was released/digital-distributed over 20 countries. She was appeared in big oversea anime festival such as “SAKURA-CON” held in Seattle, USA, “AnimagiC 2013” held in Bonn, Germany, and “Anime Festival Asia” held both in Indonesia, and in Singapore.

On January 29th, in 2014, her long-awaited 2nd full album “AUBE” has been released, and her new release tour (5 cities and 6 shows in Japan) was announced too. She will be one of the most talked-about singer of the world in 2014 and future.

A music unit composed of MARiA, a female vocalist and toku, a music composer.

Toku, a music composer/sound producer who wrote and arranged hit songs of Angela Aki, LiSA, An Café and others. MARiA, an internet born singer who performs with several musicians such as Jin(vocaloid producer), as guest vocal. The two met each other in 2010 and formed GARNiDELiA.

The videos MARiA has uploaded on the internet have exceeded 2 million views. Her professional skill as a singer cultivates her reputation. Besides, she can also dance and her activities are diverse. Her first video as a dancer “Girls” reached the 700.000 views. Meanwhile, Toku the composer, his signature song “SPiCa” has reached 1 million views on the internet, and the total views of all his songs exceeds 10 million views. Their collaborative song “COLOR” they have made before forming GARNiDELiA was chosen to be the theme song for the famous anime “Freezing”.

While their diverse activities are attracting a lot of attention, their major debut in spring 2014 has been decided with their new single “ambiguous” which will be the opening song of the popular anime “Kill la Kill”.

The name GARNiDELiA is an anagram of Le Palais Garnier de Maria, which means “Maria’s Opera House, her place to sing” and Cordelia, which is the name of the asteroid discovered in toku’s birth year.

From his junior high school days, toku became interested in Italian classical music, and focused his attention on studying vocal music. He then changed his focus to music arrangement in 2001. He has worked on songs such as LiSA’s “oath sign”, “crossing field”, “LOVER”S”MiLE”, and the song from the anime, “Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. (Anohana)” called “secret base – Kimi Ga Kureta Mono – (10 years after Ver.)”. He has also arranged music for a wide variety of genres including J-POP, Visual-Kei and Anime, and has worked with famous artists such as Angela Aki, LiSA, An Cafe, Kana Uemura and Dir en Grey.

She began singing and dancing from a young age, and started performing from age 13. Contrary to her cool voice, she has a very energetic and cheerful character. Her appearance makes her look like someone of mixed parentage, but she is purely Japanese, coming from Ibaraki prefecture. MARiA was performing with a 6-member teen Jazz vocal group called Chix Chicks, but they disbanded in 2010. By the age of 21, she has already 11 years of experience as a performer. As a solo artist, she has performed in the concerts of the famous vocaloid producer, Jin at Yokohama Blitz and Zepp DiverCity Tokyo two consecutive times.

Dubbed as the ‘Prince of Vocaloid music’ on Japan’s popular video sharing site ‘Nico Nico Douga’, Hachioji P is a an internationally recognized music creator, remixer and DJ of Vocaloid music.

With a total view count of over 8million, Hachioji P’s representative works ‘Sweet Devil’ and ‘Electric Love’ were made through a collaboration with MMD(Miku Miku Dance) and Producer Wakamura P. By having a distinctive style in producing dance music-based electric sounds and high quality video, this instantly pushed Hachioji P into Vocaloid World’s Hall of Fame.

Hachioji P’s first major album ‘Electric love’ debuted on the Oricon charts at 11th in 2012. Over the years, his growing popularity is evident as his works has been featured on shows such as NHK’s Weekly News, Good Morning Japan and Mr Sunday.

His success also spanned across to Taiwan where his first release of single ‘Sweet Devil’ ranked 4th on the K-POP/J-POP Charts. Following this success, his release of ‘Electric Love’ ranked 3rd on the K-POP/J-POP charts and 8th on the overall charts.

Overseas, he has played at Italy’s Lucca Comics and Games and Singapore’s Anime Festival Asia as well. Recently performing at Hawaii’s Kawaii kon and Mexico’s Expo TNT, Australia’s Vocaloid Night, Korea’s Animix.

He released the newest album “ViViD WAVE” from TOY’S FACTORY in July 17, 2013. We can’t take our eye off of his coming acts and works in 2014.

“DJ Kazu” is a J-POP & Anisong DJ.

DJ Kazu has been attracting attention in the world of anime music. October 2, 2014, his third Anisong Non-Stop Mix CD “J-Anisong Kamikyoku Matsuri~Paradise~” was released. His previous CD “J-Anison Kamikyoku Matsuri “was also a huge hit surpassing 80,000 CDs sold. The series collectively has surpassed an impressive 200,000 CDs sold.

Luna Haruna was born on October 11th, 1991.

Luna ’s original voice and special talent soon attracted great deal of attention after releasing her original song “Binetsu no Tsuki” on the magazine “Lis Ani!”.

On May 2012, she made her major debut with the song “Soraha Takaku Kazeha Utau” (Ending theme song for the second season of animation “Fate/Zero”), written and composed by Yuki Kajiura.

On the same year in November, she released her second single “Overfly” (Ending theme song for animation “Sword Art Online” -Fairy Dance-).

Luna released her new song ”Kimiga Kureta Sekai” on May 2013.

She then released a single “Aiwoutae” (Ending theme song for the second season of <Monogatari> series” produced by the popular creator, Jin) on July 24th.

On August 21st, Luna ’s first album “OVERSKY” was released.

In 1996, Takanori Nishikawa debuted as a solo project “T.M. Revolution” with the single “Dokusai –monopolize-”. With the catchy music, overwhelming stage presence that attracts anyone who watches his reputed live performances, he has released many hit songs like “HEART OF SWORD”, “HIGH PRESSURE”, “WHITE BREATH”, “HOT LIMIT”, “INVOKE”, “IGNITED”, “vestige” and more, one after the other.

In 2008, he was appointed as the first sightseeing ambassador of his birthplace of Shiga Prefecture, through which he organises a large scale rock fest called “INAZUMA ROCK FES” every year, with the assistance of local governmental bodies.
