TarO&JirO (7 December)
As guitar rock brothers who stand apart from the rest, they present the world with something never before achieved in the genre. After traveling to England in the spring of 2009, they put on energetic performances in France and Switzerland, emerging as champions at a band competition in France in 2011. This led to invitations to various European festivals, where they developed their original, viscerally thrilling brand of guitar rock.
TarO (Kimitaro Fukae, the older brother) and JirO (Tomojiro Fukae, the younger brother) got their musical start as a folk duo. There was a period where they shifted to a band-based format, but they once again returned to playing as a duo. In 2009, after JirO graduated from high school, they set their minds on entering the music world, and the two of them took a chance and ventured to England by themselves. They got their musical chops by performing at open mics at pubs and in street performances.
After numerous live performances in the UK, they evolved from a melodic folk duo into a rhythmical rock duo, earning more and more fans along with their stylistic change. Their overwhelming performances were highly regarded, and they came to be contacted by various festivals through virtue of their skill alone.
Main Overseas Festival Appearances
・Japan Expo Sud (France)
・Rock Oz’ Arènes (Switzerland)
・First prize in "Tremplin Guitare en scène 2011" (France)
・Polymanga 2011 (Switzerland)

Following that, they returned home, armed with plenty of achievements and confidence. However, they hadn’t yet made a name for themselves in Japan. They began in Japan as they had in Europe, playing street performances. It was during this time that in a stroke of luck, they encountered Teichiku Entertainment and decided to make their major debut. TarO & JirO are embarking on Chapter 2 of their journey, this time aiming for success in Japan.
