Japanese Film Ranking in 2014 has been released

MPPAJ, Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan, Inc., has announced Japanese film ranking as well as statistics of Japanese film industry in 2014.

According to figures released by the MPPAJ, admissions were up by 3.4 percent to 161 million during the last year, and the Japanese box office grew 6.6 percent to 207 billion yen in 2014.

The following is the top ten box office Japanese films in 2014.

1. "THE ETERNAL ZERO" (\8.76 bn.)
2. "STAND BY ME DORAEMON" (\8.38 bn.)
3. "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno"(\5.22 bn.)
4. "THERMAE ROMAE II" (\4.42 bn.)
5. "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" (\4.35 bn.)
6. "LUPIN THE 3rd VS. DETECTIVE CONAN THE MOVIE" (\4.26 bn.)
7. "Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper" (\4.11 bn.)
8. "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita in the New Haunts of Evil - Peko and the Five Explorers -" (\ 3.58 bn.)
9. "When Marnie Was There" (\3.53 bn.)
