TBS wins top honors at the 2009 Asian TV Awards
December 4, 2009Tokyo Broadcasting System Television Inc. (TBS) was awarded the top honor of Terrestrial Channel of the Year, having won the Best Comedy Award for “Iromonea” and the Best Entertainment Programme Award for “26 Hours/Day” at the 14th Asian Television Awards, which is one of the most significant events for the Asian television industry. Winners were selected out of 1,020 titles submitted from 16 countries by a panel of media industry expert judges. “26 Hours/Day” producer Mr. Kyohei Kawamoto traveled to Singapore to participate in the ceremony which was held on December 3 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore. Kawamoto commented “I will continue to do my best to see that ‘26 Hours/Day’ is recognized around the globe and to deliver useful information and heartwarming laughter all throughout Japan.”
